A B S T R A C T This invention relates to a military radar- or radio communica- tions system, in particular with mobile transmitting and receiving equipment, permitting a continuous change of a plurality of operating frequencies according to a method of sudden frequency changes. The operating frequencies are divided into a number of sub-ranges of the overall radar- or radio range, within which at predetermined times communications are transmitted, or testing is carried out, perhaps involving an additional change of channel according to the method of sudden frequency changes. In the sub-ranges not required for the transmission of communications or testing at the time, electronic counter measures (ECM) are applied with high transmitter power in the form of a preferably broadband interference jamming on the part of either one or a plurality of central stations in the range of operation.
