- 10 - ABSTRACT A jig is used for manufacturing containers from used milk and the like cartons. The jig is configured as a block that fits slideably into the carton when the carton top is opened. A peripheral notch on the jig forms a crease around the carton when the carton is rubbed with an edge, for example a table edge or an item of cutlery. A sharp knife is used to remove parts of the carton above the jig, leaving a tuck tab along one side. The corners of the carton are then severed from the top down to the crease line to provide flaps for closing the top of the container.
