The invention relates to means and methods for obtaining an antigen specific antibody from milk from non-human mammals that have not been immunized with said antigen prior to collecting said milk. Non-human mammal derived antigen specific antibody was found to cross the mucosal side of the intestinal tract of an individual. The invention provides novel means and methods for the treatment of disease through antigen specific non-human mammal antibodies. Further provided are preparations for oral administration comprising said antigen specific antibody of a ruminant.
L'invention concerne des moyens et procédés pour obtenir un anticorps spécifique à un antigène issu du lait provenant de mammifères non humains qui n'ont pas été immunisés avec ledit antigène avant l'obtention dudit lait. Il s'est avéré que l'anticorps spécifique à l'antigène dérivé de mammifères non humains traverse la tunique muqueuse du tractus intestinal d'un individu. L'invention propose de nouveaux moyens et procédés pour le traitement d'une maladie par des anticorps de mammifères non humains spécifiques à l'antigène. Il est également proposé des préparations pour administration orale comportant ledit anticorps spécifique à l'antigène d'un ruminant.
