ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The mill stand comprises forming rolls having con- gruent forming elements and mounted on a stand frame member in such a way that one of the forming rolls is adapted for a vertical reciprocating motion. This forming roll is con- nected with a hydraulic cylinder provided with control means interacting with a master device. The master device is operatively connected with one of the forming rolls. The stand permits discontinuously forming longitud- inal deformations on sheet metal uninterruptedly fed in the form of a continuous strip to the mill stand. Besides, provisions are made for changing the lengths of portions to be longitudinally deformed and dept flat on sheet metal.
