The invention relates to a milling machine (1) for milling at least one surface (2) of a slab (3), wherein the milling machine (1) is preferably a component of a device for producing a metal strip by continuous casting, wherein the milling machine (1) comprises a machine base (4) on which a spindle holder (5) is disposed and from which a spindle holder (5) is formed, in which at least one bearing (7) holding at least one milling cutter (6) is disposed. In order to achieve improved vibration damping during the milling of hot slabs, the invention makes provision such that the machine base (4) is formed at least in sections, preferably completely, from a number of metal walls (8) which enclose a volume, the volume being filled with concrete (9).
L'invention concerne une fraiseuse (1) permettant le fraisage d'au moins une surface (2) d'une brame (3), la fraiseuse (1) faisant de préférence partie intégrante d'un dispositif servant à la fabrication d'une bande métallique par coulée continue et ladite fraiseuse (1) présentant un corps de base de machine (4) sur lequel un support de broche (5) est placé ou à partir duquel un support de broche (5) est formé, support dans lequel est placé au moins un logement (7) maintenant au moins une fraise (6). Le but de l'invention est d'améliorer l'amortissement des vibrations lors du fraisage de brames chaudes. A cet effet, le corps de base de machine (4) est au moins partiellement, de préférence entièrement, constitué d'une pluralité de parois métalliques (8) délimitant un volume, lequel volume est rempli de béton (9).
