A mine door of the present invention is adapted for installation in a mine passageway and includes a door unit adapted for swinging between a closed position and an open position. The door unit may be mounted in a frame, and a stopping wall may surround the frame. When closed, the door unit is subject to a differential in air pressure involving higher pressure on one of the faces of the door unit than on the other of the faces of the door unit. The door unit has a man doorway closed by a man door. The door unit, the frame, or the stopping has a pressure relief opening therein for passage of air therethrough from adjacent the one of the faces of the door unit to adjacent the other of the faces to more nearly equalize the pressure on the faces and thereby facilitate opening the door unit. The pressure relief opening is smaller than the man doorway.

L'invention décrite dans le présent document concerne un dispositif adapté conçu pour être installé dans une galerie de mine; celui-ci comprend un ensemble-porte pouvant pivoter entre une position ouverte et une position fermée. La porte en question peut être montée sur un cadre lequel peut être entouré d'un mur d'arrêt.
