A B R I D G E M E N T This invention provides a mine roof support in which a forepole is mounted on a canopy, or cover. The cover is in two parts, a leading part and a trailing part,such that the overall length of the cover may be varied and the leading part of the cover is connected to the forepole in such a way that the leading part can be moved forwardly of the trailing part by projecting the forepole, and retracted by withdrawing the forepole.
