A rotary mineral crusher of a kind where material is thrown from a rotor after having mi- grated across a retained bed of material retained by a wear tip. The invention recognises the ben- efit of shaping the retained bed of material to a trough-like form so that a greater volume of ma- terial being thrown from the bed of the rotor (af- ter migration over the wear tip) moves along that material defined surface with only some of the thrown material being able to contact the wear up.

L'invention concerne un broyeur rotatif de minéraux dans lequel le matériau à broyer est éjecté d'un rotor après avoir traversé un lit de matériau retenu par une tête d'usure. Selon l'invention, on a donné au lit de matériau retenu une forme en cuvette pour que, de façon avantageuse, un plus grand volume de matériau, pendant son éjection du lit du rotor (après être passé sur la tête d'usure), se déplace le long de la surface définie par ledit matériau et que seulement une partie du matériau ejecté puisse entrer en contact avec la tête d'usure.
