A miniature hockey goal net, which replaces the normal size hockey net and the goalie and is used for playing an alternate style of roller hockey or ice hockey, has a tubular steel frame with a hockey net mesh attached to the frame for trapping a hockey ball. The frame consists of two U-shaped pieces, one U-shaped piece which is vertical and forms the front opening of the net, the other U-shaped piece which is horizontal and forms the base of the net. The two U-shaped pieces are joined by two elbows, which are situated at the base of the two side pieces of the vertical U-shaped piece and are attached to the two side pieces of the horizontal U-shaped piece. A larger second opening for scoring is provided by reversing the position of the two U-shaped pieces, raising the horizontal U-shaped piece to the vertical position. An optional center back brace can be attached between the upper crossbar and the lower crossbar for additional support and weight.
