The invention relates to a miniaturized microtiter plate which has a body made of plas-tic and a base made of glass, 1000 to 4000 vessels (wells) (3), and a cover (4) which prevents evaporation. The diameter of the vessels (wells) (d) is approx-imately 1.0 to 1.8 mm. The base of the microtiter plate (2) has a layer thickness ranging from 0.07 to 0.2 mm and the distance of the outermost vessels (wells) from the edge of the glass base ranges from 4 to 11 mm.
