ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSE A mining drill bit which has a cylindrically shaped body within which a shank end includes a shank bore that communicates with the shank head via a diametrically disposed slot that intersects at approxi- mutely 35° a second diametrically disposed head slot which in turn carries a cutting element such that dust and other debris created during the drilling operation will be carried through the open slot.
