ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mirror drive mechanism used in an optical disc player for angularly guiding a beam of light includes a reflecting mirror having a reflecting surface defined there- in: a mirror holder for supporting the mirror; a support structure including generally elongated leaf spring means extending generally perpendicular to each other for support- ing the mirror holder at a position on a center axis of the reflecting surface of the mirror; a drive coil secured to a surface of the mirror holder opposite to the mirror; a magnetic circuit mounted on the support structure so as to confront the drive coil. This drive coil is wound around the center axis of the mirror holder and in a plane perpendicular to the center axis, and the magnetic circuit includes at least two permanent magnets mounted on the support structure with different magnetic poles thereof facing the drive coil. -23-
