A system for mounting an unframed mirror on a wall includes one or more base brackets supporting the base edge of the mirror and two or more side brackets retaining the sides of the mirror so that it will not slide along the wall from side to side. Each of the brackets includes a front panel that extends across the front face of the support member in the case of the base bracket and the retaining members in the case of the side brackets. These are large, flat panels shaped to provide a coordinated ornamental appearance in addition to providing good support for the mirror.
