A reflective element for a vehicle mirror is attached to a tilt actuator through an interlocking panel assembly comprising a pair of panels having a matrix of interlocking stems. The panel assembly enables the reflective element to be quickly and securely mounted to the tilt actuator, and subsequently separated from the tilt actuator without the use of specialized tools.
