ALKYLMETHYLSULFONIUM SALTS OF N-PHOSPHONOMETHYLGLYCINE Abstract of the Invention As a new compound, mixed alkylsulfonium salts of N-phosphono- methylglycine having the formula Image wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of long-chain saturated or unsaturated alkyl groups having from 12 to 20 carbon atoms and R2 and R3 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl having from 1-3 carbon aatoms. These compounds are effective herbicide and plant growth regulators.
