The subject invention is directed to a mixed cell composition to generate a therapeutic protein at a target site by providing a first population of mammalian cells transfected or transduced with a gene that is sought to be expressed, and a second population of mammalian cells that have not been transfected or transduced with the gene, wherein endogenously existing forms of the second population of mammalian cells are decreased at the target site, and wherein generation of the therapeutic protein by the first population of mammalian cells at the target site stimulates the second population cells to induce a therapeutic effect.

La présente invention concerne une composition cellulaire mixte permettant de générer une protéine thérapeutique au niveau d'un site cible par utilisation d'une première population de cellules mammaliennes transfectées ou transduites à l'aide d'un gène que l'on souhaite voir exprimer, et d'une seconde population de cellules mammaliennes non transfectées ou transduites à l'aide dudit gène, les formes de la seconde population de cellules mammaliennes qui existent de manière endogène diminuant au niveau du site cible et la génération de la protéine thérapeutique par la première population de cellules mammaliennes au niveau du site cible stimulant la les cellules de la seconde population pour induire un effet thérapeutique.
