ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Mixed esters of polybasic saturated acids, glycols and glycidyl esters, especially esters of the formula Image where X is hydrogen, alkyl or phenyl, Y is hydrogen, -OH, -CH2OH or alkyl (only one Y being -OH), Z is alkylene or substituted phenyl, D1 is H or -CH2OH and D2 is H or -OH provided that one of D1 and D2 is -CH2OH or -OH, Q is Image or -O-, R is alkyl or an unsaturated hydrocarbon radical, n is 0 or 1, m is 1-5, p is 0 or 1 and t is 0 or 1 are disclosed. The mixed esters, when formulated with poly- functional isocyanates or asinoplast resins, form coating compositions which require little or no organic liquid carrier. These compositions are useful for finishing auto- mobiles and appliances and for general industrial use.
