In an extended aeration wastewater treatment system having wastewater flowing into a retention basin (2) so as to form mixed liquor within the retention basin, a mixed liquor wasting system (1) including: a thickener tank (13) having a sidewall and a bottom; a waste line (10) having a first end fluidly connected to the retention basin and a second end fluidly connected to the thickener tank; a first flow control device, such as a pump (18), for continuously removing a portion of the mixed liquor from the basin at a desired constant flow rate through the waste line, positioned in the waste line; a sludge removal line (20) having a first end fluidly connected to the bottom of the thickener tank and a second end fluidly connected to a sludge disposal system (23); a second flow control device, such as a pump (27), for removing a concentration portion of the mixed liquor from the thickener tank, positioned in the sludge removal line; and a return line (28) having a first end fluidly connected to the thickener tank above the bottom and a second end fluidly connected to the retention basin.
L'invention concerne un système de traitement de liqueur mélangée (1) dans un système d'épuration des eaux usées à aération prolongée dans lequel les eaux usées s'écoulent dans un bassin de rétention (2) de sorte qu'une liqueur mélangée se forme dans ce dernier. Ledit système se compose d'une cuve d'épaississement (13) présentant des parois latérales et un fond, d'une canalisation d'évacuation des déchets dont les première et deuxième extrémités sont respectivement en communication fluidique avec le bassin de rétention et la cuve d'épaississement; d'un premier dispositif de régulation du débit tel qu'une pompe (18) placé dans la canalisation d'évacuation de déchets et conçu pour enlever en continu du bassin une partie de la liqueur mélangée à un débit voulu constant par cette même canalisation; d'une canalisation d'évacuation des boues (20) dont les première et deuxième extrémités sont respectivement en communication fluidique avec le fond de la cuve d'épaississement et un système d'évacuation des boues (23); d'un deuxième dispositif de régulation du débit tel qu'une pompe (27) placé dans la canalisation d'évacuation des boues et conçu pour enlever de la cuve d'épaississement une partie concentrée de la liqueur mélangée; et d'une canalisation de retour (28) dont les première et deuxième extrémités sont respectivement en communication fluidique avec la cuve d'épaississement au-dessus du fond, et le bassin de rétention.
