Abstract Mixed metal salts (especially zinc salts) of dialkylphophorodithioic acids and carboxylic acids, the ration of equivalents of the dialkylphophorodithioic to the carboxylic acid being between about 0.5:1 and about 4.5:1, are useful in lubricants and functional fluids (such as hydraulic fluids) as antioxidants and extreme pressure agents having improved thermal stability.
