The invention relates to the mixing of a gas with a liquid. The apparatus has a mixing space (5) between two surfaces of revolution one inside the other, into which space the liquid and the gas are fed tangentially so that the mixture comes into a rotary motion in the space. The invention can be used, for example, in froth flotation processes, in dissolving processes, or in the aeration of waters.

L'invention se rapporte au mélange d'un gaz avec un liquide. L'appareil comporte un espace de mélange (5) entre deux surfaces de rotation tournant l'une dans l'autre. Dans ledit espace, l'alimentation du liquide et du gaz est tangentielle pour que le mélange soit animé d'un mouvement de rotation dans ledit espace. L'invention peut être utilisée, par exemple, dans des procédés de flottation par écumage, de dissolution ou dans la carbonatation des eaux.
