The present invention relates to a mixing head for the processing of a reactive mixture of material composed of at least two plastics components that react with one another, encompassing a mixing device (12) with a mixing chamber in which a cleaning piston (18''') has been reversibly arranged so that it can be moved to and fro. In order to prevent creep of plastics material at the cleaning piston (18'''), the cleaning piston, or a shaft connected to the cleaning piston, has a thickened region (22) surrounding its periphery, or a widening of diameter, which acts as a creep barrier for the plastics components or the mixture of materials.
