A combination pitcher (21) and mixing subassembly (22) incorporates a mixing head (34) which is longitudinally reciprocally movable within the pitcher. The combination is suited for use with pitchers that are not cross-sectionally circular. The mixing head has a peripheral region (44) which conforms to the internal bottom configuration of the pitcher. The mixing head has a plurality of straight, elongated vanes (47, 48) that extend across the mixing head in parallel, spaced, diagonal relationship to each other with the vanes on one side of the mixing head shaft (36) being inclined at an opposite angle relative to those on the other side of the shaft. The mixing head also has a plurality of vertically oriented, spaced, parallel baffle plates (51) that extend across the mixing head perpendicularly relative to the vanes and that join the vanes at all locations of cross-over.

L'invention concerne un broc combiné (21) et un sous-ensemble de mélange (22) comportant une tête de mélange (34) pouvant décrire un mouvement de va-et-vient longitudinal à l'intérieur du broc. La tête de mélange comporte également une pluralité de chicanes (51) parallèles et espacées, orientées verticalement, s'étendant au travers de la tête de mélange de manière perpendiculaire par rapport aux ailettes, et joignant les ailettes dans toutes les positions d'intersection.
