Techniques for preparing soils using sand or substitute granular materials are disclosed. In particular, the preparation of underlayers for paths, roads or sports grounds is disclosed. A master mixture is prepared, organic or inorganic granular materials in particular are added thereto, and the mixture is used to form ground layers and layers and underlayers for roads and other surfaces. Said mixture consists of a mixture of granular materials and fibres where the fibres constitute 6-60 wt % of the dry mixture. As said master mixture has an average concentration, it enables the fibres to be easily diluted to the low contents that are generally desired in soils.

L'invention concerne des techniques de préparation des sols dans lesquels on utilise des sables ou des matériaux granulaires de substitution. Elle concerne en particulier la réalisation des sous-couches des chemins, routes ou terrains de sport. Selon l'invention, on constitue un mélange maître qui est destiné après ajout, notamment de matériaux granulaires minéraux ou organiques, à la réalisation de couches de sol, de couches et de sous-couches de terrain ou de chaussée. Ledit mélange est lui-même à base d'un mélange de matériaux granulaires et de fibres, ces dernières étant dans une proportion pondérale de 6 à 60 % du mélange sec. Le mélange maître de l'invention permet en conséquence, puisqu'il possède une concentration moyenne, de diluer facilement les fibres pour atteindre les teneurs faibles que l'on cherche, en général, à avoir dans les sols.
