MIXTURES OF OPTICAL BRUGHTENERS Abstract of the disclosure: A mixture of optical brighteners containing 0.05 to 0.95 part by weight of a compound from the benzoxazolyl- or benzothiazolylstilbene series and 0.95 to 0.05 part by weight of a compound of the bis-benzoxazolyl- or bis-benzo- thiazolylstilbene series or of the benzoxazolyl- or benzo- thiazolyl-stilbene oxazolo[ 5,4-6 ]pyridinyl or oxa- zolo[ 2,3-b ]pyridinyl series. These mixtures show an enhanced degree of whiteness as compared to the same amount of the single components.
