ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to mixtures of sul- phur-containing triazine compounds and to a process producing these compounds having the general formula Image (I) wherein R1 and R2 represent H, R2 is benzyl, R2, R3 and R4 represent C1-C8 alkyl, allyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, the latter being unsubstituted or substituted by 1 to 3 methyl groups, 2- hydroxy ethyl, 3-hydroxypropyl, 2-hydroxy propyl or R3 and R4 (together) represent C4-C6 alkylene, -(CH2-CHX)2Y, wherein X represents H and Y represents O, S, Sa represents a polysul- phane chain containing 2 to 10 S atoms, (i.e., 2 ? a ? 10), the individual polysulphanes being in concentrations such that the statistical mean a assumes numerical values from 2 to 5, in which a triazine compound having the general formula (??) Image wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 have the above-defined meanings, is reacted with a protic polar solvent, particularly water, dis- solved ammonium or alkali metal polysulphide at a temperature of 80 to 140°C.
