A mobile system for transmitting live audiovisual information from a portable integrated camera and transmission unit to a communications satellites in real time is disclosed. The system includes a portable camera for capturing live audiovisual information, a digital encoder for encoding captured audiovisual information into a compressed audiovisual signal, a terminal antenna for tracking the communications satellites to determine their locations and to transmit the compressed audiovisual signal to the communications satellites in real time, and a computer for different editing and signal processing purposes.
Cette invention concerne un système mobile de transmission en temps réel et en direct d'informations audiovisuelles à partir d'une unité de caméra/transmission intégrée portable vers un satellite de communications. Le système comprend un caméra portable pour l'acquisition d'informations audiovisuelles en direct, un codeur numérique pour le codage des informations audiovisuelles saisies sous forme d'un signal audiovisuel compressé, une antenne de terminal capable de suivre des satellites de communications, d'en déterminer la position et de leur transmettre le signal audiovisuel comprimé en temps réel, et un ordinateur capables d'exécuter diverses fonctions d'édition et de traitement du signal.
