ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a mobile apparatus for the renewal and for the construction of railway tracks, which comprises a work tool carrying chassis adapted to effect the laying of new ties and/or the removal of old ties. The apparatus includes a wagon for transporting, stocking and/or for handling material necessary for the laying and/or the material resulting from the re- moval operation. A carrying bridge structure is provided having one end carried by a rolling support and the other end including a rolling support and at least one supplementary retractable rolling support adapted to bear on the track bed which supports a new track to be constructed. The carrying chassis is suspended above a working zone from the carrying bridge structure. The device is characterized in that a mobile apparatus for the renewal and for the construction of railway tracks comprising a working tool carrying chassis adapted to effect at least the laying of new ties and/or the removal of old ties, a wagon for transporting stocking and/or for the handling materi- al necessary for the said laying and/or the material resulting from the re- moval operation, and a carrying bridge structure having one end carried by a rolling support and the other end comprising a rolling support and at least one supplementary retractable rolling support adapted to bear on the track bed adapted to support a new track to be constructed, said carrying chassis being suspended above a working zone from the said carrying bridge structure, characterized in that the carrying bridge structure comprises a wagon having only a single rolling support disposed at its end and provided with a retract- able supplementary rolling support and a longitudinally extending chassis which is pivoted at its other end to an overhanging bracket extending from the wagon adapted for transport, stocking and/or the handling of material; and in that the carrying chassis is suspended and articulated at one end to the over- hanging bracket and at the other end to the raised chassis of the wagon having a single rolling support; and in that this carrying chassis is mounted so as to be height adjustable; and in that the single rolling support wagon has a supplementary height adjustable tie laying means on its raised chassis and disposed near its rolling support.
