Achieving effective transmission of a standard ATM cell over a radio section by connecting an ATM terminal to a mobile station. A channel information intertranslator (11) in a mobile station (3) translates routing bits (8-3), in which are set VPI/VCI1 on the header (8-1) of the standard ATM cell (8), into codes (14-1 - 14-n), in which are set CODEs #1-#n serving as channel identifiers for transmission over the radio section (6). The mobile station (3) divides data formed by a payload section (8-2) and a header section (8-4) excluding the routing bits (8-3) of a received ATM cell (8) such that the divided data match a radio frame length. Each of the divided data is provided with each one of sequence number identifiers (13-1 - 13-n) to form a radio frame (9-1 - 9-n) and is transmitted to the radio section (6).

L'invention est une méthode qui permet de réaliser la transmission de cellules MTA standard sur une section radio en connectant un terminal MTA à une station mobile. Un intertraducteur (11) d'informations d'acheminement faisant partie d'une station mobile (3) traduit les bits d'acheminement (8-3), qui contiennent le VPI/VCI1 dans l'en-tête (8-1) de la cellule MTA standard (8), en codes (14-1 - 14-n) dans lesquels sont inscrits les CODEs #1-#n servant d'identificateurs de canal pour les transmissions sur la section radio (6). La station mobile (3) divise les données formées par une section de charge utile (8-2) et une secteur d'en-tête (8-4) en excluant les bits d'acheminement (8-3) d'une cellule MTA reçue (8) de telle façon que les données divisées correspondent à la longueur d'une trame radio.
