An apparatus and method for handling flow back returns and gas from a well head operation including a mobile catch tank for receiving flow back returns and a mobile flare stack for flaring gas. The flare stack is movable between a transport position and an operative position, A muffler helps reduce sound produced by flow back returns at the catch tank. Gas phase flow back returns enter the atmosphere, and fluid flow back returns may be removed from the catch tank as desired. Flammable gas is flared using the flare stack.
