The power radiated from mobile communications handset antennas has tended to increase in order to increase the distances between the handsets and base stations or communications satellites. These handsets, in use, excite if currents in the body and the body actually forms part of the radiator for the handset. Public fears have arisen over the use of such handsets, and in particular, repeated prolonged use. The present invention addresses this problem and provides a mobile communications handset arrangement comprising a microphone, an ear-piece, a transceiver, and an antenna; wherein the antenna is detachable from the handset, whereby reduced radiation effects are experienced by users.
La puissance rayonnée par les antennes d'un combiné de communication mobile a tendance à augmenter afin de combler les distances accrues entre les stations de base ou les satellites de télécommunications. Ces combinés, à l'utilisation, créent des courants RF dans le corps qui devient alors partie intégrante du système de rayonnement du combiné. Le public éprouve de l'inquiétude quant à l'emploi de ces combinés et, en particulier, à leur emploi prolongé répété.
