A mobile equipment service device for use by non-ambulatory persons. The device can be a manually movable commode for permitting such persons to independently access a system to contain waste, seal the waste, prevent odors for emanating into the room, and permit later removal and disposal of the waste. The system may also introduce an odor absorbent material into the sealed area where the waste is retained. In a further embodiment, a programmable device, such as a commode, can be remotely operated by the person, increasing the person's ability to independently access and use the device by moving the device to and from that person, and then securing that device to permit safe use by those persons. Preferably, the programmable device is battery powered so as to be self-propelled. In addition, the device contains a data collection system that collects data on use, and transmits that data as directed to location.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de service à équipement mobile utilisé par des patients non ambulatoires. Ce dispositif peut être une chaise percée manuellement amovible permettant aux patients d'avoir accès de manière indépendante à un système destiné à contenir des matière organiques et à sceller celles-ci, empêchant les odeurs de se diffuser dans la pièce, et permettant la récupération et l'élimination des matières. Ledit système permet également d'introduire un matériau absorbant les odeurs dans la zone scellée contenant les matières organiques. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un dispositif programmable, par exemple une chaise percée, peut être commandé à distance par le patient, augmentant la capacité du patient à accéder audit dispositif et à utiliser celui-ci par déplacement du dispositif par rapport au patient, puis par sécurisation dudit dispositif afin de permettre aux patients d'utiliser celui-ci en toute sécurité. Le dispositif programmable est, de préférence, alimenté par une batterie de manière à être autonome. Le dispositif contient, de plus, un système de collecte de données permettant de collecter des données utilisées, et de transmettre ces données tel qu'indiqué vers un emplacement.
