32203 ABSTRACT Apparatus for controlling the delivery of material from a moving vehicle using a "closed loop" feedback control. The error signal to close the loop is derived from a continuous measurement of the actual rate of mass flow of material compared to the desired or computed rate of mass flow for a range of vehicle speeds. The vehicle speed is measured and used to modify the desired rate of mass flow in order to achieve a controlled mass per unit area of ground surface. - 1 -
