ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is mobile radiotelephone apparatus including channel finding circuitry for locating an available channel for placing a call from the mobile unit. The channel finding circuitry may have a device for cyclically reducing one of the input voltages received by the supervisory logic of the mobile radiotelephone, thereby periodically initiating an effort to seize an available channel. The channel finding circuitry may have audible or visual channel available signaling devices to indicate that the radiotelephone has seized an available channel.
