A mobile shelter comprising a vehicle, a post pivotally attached to the vehicle at one end, and releasably attached at the other end to an umbrella- like collapsible marquee. The marquee comprises a frame, whereby the marquee is attached to the post, a number of articulated brace assemblies pivotally connected to the frame, each brace assembly comprising a number of pivotally interconnected braces. The brace assemblies define a ground-resting end, and a pivot joint pivotally attached to a spreader ring, which in turn slidably engages the post. Upon sliding the spreader ring up and down about the post, the brace assemblies can be shifted between: - a storage position, in which the brace assemblies are collapsed against the post and the ground-resting ends of the brace assemblies are located at the vicinity of the post; and - a deployed position, in which the brace assemblies are deployed away from the post, the ground-resting ends of the brace assemblies are spaced-apart from the post and rest on the ground, and in which the spreader ring is releasably attached to the frame. To install the marquee, the post is pivoted away from the vehicle into a vertical stance, and the spreader ring is slid upwardly about the post, in order to shift the brace assemblies from their storage position to their deployed position, similarly to an umbrella. Then, once the brace assemblies are in their deployed position, the post can be released from the marquee's frame, and the vehicle can be driven away from the marquee with the post.
L'invention concerne un abri mobile comprenant un véhicule, un montant fixé pivotant au véhicule à une extrémité, et fixé libérable à une tente-marquise de type parapluie repliable à l'autre extrémité. La marquise comprend un cadre de fixation au montant, un certain nombre d'ensembles brides articulés reliés pivotants au cadre, chaque ensemble comportant différentes brides reliées pivotantes entre elles. Lesdits ensembles définissent une extrémité qui repose au sol, et une articulation pivot reliée pivotante à un anneau d'écartement, lequel s'enclenche à son tour coulissant avec le montant. En faisant coulisser l'anneau d'écartement vers le bas et vers le haut autour du montant, on peut déplacer les ensembles considérés entre les positions suivantes: - rangement, les ensembles étant repliés contre le montant, et les extrémités reposant au sol de ces ensembles étant situées à proximité du montant; et - déploiement, les ensembles étant déployés loin du montant, et les extrémités reposant au sol de ces ensembles étant éloignées du montant et reposant sur le sol, l'anneau d'écartement étant, lui, fixé libérable au cadre. Pour installer la marquise, on fait pivoter le montant en l'éloignant du véhicule pour lui donner une position verticale, puis on fait coulisser l'anneau d'écartement vers le haut autour du montant, de manière à déplacer les ensembles brides depuis la position de rangement vers la position déployée, comme pour un parapluie. Une fois les ensembles en question déployés, on peut libérer le montant par rapport au cadre de la marquise, et le véhicule peut être éloigné de la marquise avec le montant.
