To check the operation of components of a given mobile-radio system, such as base station, base station controller, mobile switching center, the use of a specific mobile test set is known. On-site, equipment (computer, terminal, etc.) and personnel (system experts) are currently necessary to operate the mobile test set. It is the object of the invention to design the mobile test set so that the need for the equipment and personnel on-site is eliminated. This is achieved by modifications in existing interfaces, thereby permitting exchange of control signals between the mobile test set and the operation and maintenance center of the mobile-radio system.
