A local access network intended for mobile units, in which each station in this network has an associated, predetermined macrocell and becomes the macrocell's core station. When a mobile unit leaves the coverage of one station - the "fading" station - and enters the coverage of another - the "change-over" station - the network establishes the virtual connections to the stations covering the macrocell associated with the change-over station and to release the virtual connections belonging to the stations in the macrocell associated with the previous station but not belonging to the macrocell associated with the change-over station.

L'invention est un réseau d'accès local pour unités mobiles dans lequel chaque station a une macrocellule prédéterminée connexe et devient la station centrale de cette macrocellule.
