A multi-functional mobility assisting device for physically challenged people comprises a C-shaped frame having at its lower end an offset base supported by front and rear wheels rotatably mounted to the frame. The frame includes at its upper end a power- assisted hydraulically operated mast to which is attached a harness structure for raising and securely maintaining the user in an upright position. A pair of adjustable stabilizer arms are provided to be used for balancing. The device is sturdy, efficient, easy to use and ergonomically designed thereby enabling heavy care dependent users to be readily raised and moved about, as well as for physical therapy purposes.
