A method, a correspondent node and a mobile node are provided for allowing setup of a session between the mobile node and the correspondent node using a new unique indicator in lieu of the home address to enable the correspondent node to uniquely identify the mobile node. The correspondent node uses the new unique indicator to identify the session within its Binding Cache Entry table.The mobile node may change its selection of a home address without impacting its ongoing session. Change of a home address may occur when the mobile node selects a new home agent to serve an ongoing session, or when the mobile node selects a new access interface during an ongoing session.
L'invention porte sur un procédé, un noeud correspondant et un noeud mobile permettant l'établissement d'une session entre le noeud mobile et le noeud correspondant en utilisant un nouvel indicateur unique au lieu d'une home address pour que le noeud correspondant identifie de manière unique le noeud mobile. Le noeud correspondant utilise le nouvel indicateur unique pour identifier la session à l'intérieur de sa table de "binding cache entry" (entrées de caches de liaison). Le noeud mobile peut modifier son choix de home address sans avoir d'impact sur la session en cours. La modification de la home address peut intervenir lorsque le noeud mobile sélectionne un nouvel agent domestique pour desservir une session en cours, ou lorsque le noeud mobile sélectionne une nouvelle interface d'accès pendant la session en cours.
