A B S T R A C T A mode and configuration indicator for a computer, wherein a display window identifies active modes and flags at the time or request by a user. This is particularly useful in a PC supporting two desparate languages such as Arabic and English simultaneously. The method suspends current screen access and polls the modes and flags to determine which ones are active for identification in the display window.
