A modeling dough comprising a polar polymeric resin, water, a gellant, and a filler provides a dough resistant to flaking, cracking, and crumbling. In the disclosed invention, the polymeric resin is gelled, thereby providing a water-based resin system that is not sticky yet very ductile. After the dough is air-dried, the components are bound into a solid, durable product. The filler accounts for a large portion of the volume of the dough, so the overall volume is not greatly affected by water loss upon drying. The dough is water-based and easy to wash from skin, carpets, and other surfaces. Dyes and pigments can be easily incorporated into the formula. The dried product is sandable and paintable.

Pâte à modeler contenant une résine polymérique polaire, de l'eau, un gélifiant et un produit de remplissage et résistant à l'écaillage, à la fragmentation et à l'effritement. Dans la présente invention, la résine polymérique est gélifiée. On obtient ainsi une résine à base d'eau qui ne colle pas et cependant très ductile. Une fois la pâte à modeler séchée à l'air, les composants sont liés dans un produit solide et durable. Le produit de remplissage représente une grande partie du volume de la pâte. Le volume général de cette dernière n'est donc pas trop touché par la perte d'eau au séchage. Cette pâte à modeler est à base d'eau et facile à retirer de la peau, de la moquette et des autres surfaces. Des teintes et des pigments peuvent facilement être incorporés dans la formule de composition. Une fois séché, le produit peut être peint ou poncé.
