A device and a method for the modification of an operating all-loss engine lubricant's properties in response to actual engine operating conditions. The present invention is a method that comprises: (1) monitoring the specific engine parameter(s) of interest, or in the alternative, predicting those parameter(s) from other engine inputs for a crosshead diesel engine; (2) calculating from said parameter(s) or input(s) the amount of performance enhancer(s), base lubricant or alternatively formulated lubricant that need be added to the engine's base lubricant; and (3) modifying said base lubricant with said performance enhancers, additional base lubricant or alternatively formulated lubricant before introduction the combination into said monitored part or location.
Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif et à un procédé servant à modifier les propriétés d'un lubrifiant moteur fonctionnant avec perte totale, en réponse aux conditions effectives de fonctionnement du moteur. Cette invention concerne un procédé qui consiste: (1) à surveiller le ou les paramètres recherchés spécifiques du moteur ou, dans une variante, à prévoir ceux ou ces paramètres à partir des autres entrées moteur pour un moteur diesel à crosse; (2) à calculer à partir de ceux ou ces paramètres ou de cette ou ces entrées la quantité d'optimiseur(s) de performance, de lubrifiant de base ou, dans la variante, de lubrifiant formulé qui doit être ajouté au lubrifiant de base du moteur; et (3) à modifier ce lubrifiant de base avec lesdits optimiseurs de performance, ledit lubrifiant de base ajouté ou, dans la variante, le lubrifiant formulé, avant l'introduction de la combinaison dans la partie surveillée ou à l'endroit surveillé.
