Abstract of the Disclosure A cover for a chain saw able to fit on the motor housing of the chain saw and including passageways to connect to a reservoir of hydraulic fluid and to a pathway in a guide bar of the saw. There is a pump to pump fluid to and from the reservoir through the passa- geways, a drive for the pump and a device to control the pumping direction. The cover permits modification of existing chain saws to allow their use with a flexible bladder positioned in an opening in the guide bar. Using the bladder a chain saw can topple a cut tree without the necessity of removing the saw from the tree.
