The invention provides a nodavirus RNA1 molecule modified to include a heterologous insertion which is downstream of its replicase ORF and, preferably, its B2 ORF. The insertion preferably comprises one or more protein-coding regions. The modified RNA1 may be packaged in a VLP, such as a papillomavirus VLP. The small size of nodavirus RNA1 makes it ideal for HPV packaging.

Cette invention a trait à une molécule d'ARN 1 de nodavirus ayant subi une modification aux fins de l'inclusion d'une insertion hétérologue en aval de sa réplicase ORF et, de préférence, de sa B2 ORF. Cette insertion comporte, de préférence, une ou plusieurs régions codant une protéine. L'ARN 1 modifié peut être encapsidé dans une particule du type virus (VLP), notamment un VLP de papillomavirus. La petite taille de l'ARN 1 de nodavirus rend celui-ci idéal, s'agissant d'une encapsidation dans un papillomavirus humain.
