ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is disclosed for the production of a feed supplement for animals including lipid materials comprising the steps of: a) finely dividing a lipid material into discrete particles in a water base; b) adding a proteinaceous material to said water base; c) adding an aldehyde to said water base after step (b) the arrangement being such that the protein in conjunction with the aldehyde forms a protein/aldehyde complex encapsulating the discrete particles of lipid material.
