A dosage form comprises: (a) at least one active ingredient: (b) a core having a first surface portion upon which resides a first coating and a second surface portion which is substantially free of the first coating; and (c) a shell which resides upon at least a portion of the second surface portion, wherein the shell comprises a different material from the first coating. In another embodiment, the dosage form comprises: (a) at least one active ingredient; (b)a core comprising a center portion having an exterior surface and an annular portion having an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the annular portion interior surface is in contact with at least a portion of the center portion exterior surface, and a coating resides on at least a portion of the annular portion exterior surface; and (c) a shell which resides upon at least a portion of the exterior surface of the center portion, wherein the shell comprises a different material than the impermeable coating. In another embodiment, the dosage form comprises: (a) at least one active ingredient; (b) a core having an outer surface and a cavity which extends at least partially through the core such that the core outer surface has at least a first opening therein; (c) a first coating which resides on at least a portion of the core outer surface, wherein the first shell portion comprises a different material from the first coating; and (d) a first shell portion which is adjacent to the first opening and covers at least the first opening.
L'invention concerne une forme de dosage comprenant a) au moins un ingrédient actif; b) un noyau doté d'une première partie de surface sur laquelle réside un premier revêtement et d'une seconde partie de surface sensiblement exempte dudit premier revêtement; et c) une enveloppe résidant sur au moins une partie de la seconde partie de surface, ladite enveloppe comprenant un matériau différent de celui du premier revêtement. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la forme de dosage comprend a) au moins un ingrédient actif; b) un noyau comprenant une partie centrale dotée d'une surface extérieure et une partie annulaire dotée de surfaces extérieure et intérieure, la surface intérieure de la partie annulaire étant en contact avec au moins une partie de la surface extérieure de la partie centrale, et un revêtement résidant sur au moins une partie de la surface extérieure de la partie centrale; et c) une enveloppe résidant sur au moins une partie de la surface extérieure de la partie centrale, l'enveloppe renfermant un matériau différent de celui d'un revêtement imperméable. Dans un dernier mode de réalisation, la forme de dosage comprend a) au moins un ingrédient actif; b) un noyau comprenant une surface extérieure et une cavité s'étendant au moins partiellement sur ledit noyau de sorte que la surface extérieure de ce noyau possède au moins une première ouverture; c) un premier revêtement résidant sur au moins une partie de la surface extérieure du noyau, une première partie d'enveloppe renfermant un matériau différent de celui du premier revêtement; et d) une première partie d'enveloppe adjacente à la première ouverture et recouvrant au moins la première ouverture.
