"Modified Staple Cutter" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present specification describes and claims an apparatus for cutting elongate material into predetermined lengths. For example, the apparatus can be used to produce floc. The apparatus basically comprises a spool body around which the elongate material can be wound to provide a single layer of elongate material, and means for advancing said layer along the spool body towards at least one cutter blade located on the spool body in the path of the advancing layer.
