Analogs of regulators of complement activation (RCA) proteins which have altered specificaties and affinities for the targets C3b and/or C4b are described. These analogs are obtained by substituting amino acids which affect the complement inhibitory activities of these proteins, substituting, rearranging or adding SCRs or SCR regions to the proteins, deleting amino acid sequences, and combinations thereof.

L'invention concerne des analogues de régulateurs de protéines d'activation du complément (RC1) présentant des spécificités et affinités modifiées vis-à-vis des cibles C3b et/ou C4b. On obtient ces analogues par substitution d'acides aminés affectant les activités inhibitrices du complément de ces protéines, substitution, réarrangement ou addition de séquences consensus courtes ou de régions de séquences consensus courtes aux protéines, amputation de séquences d'acides aminés et combinaisons de celles-ci.
