A modular air vent assembly kit can be used to cover duct openings that supply a flow of heated or cooled air to a room in addition to covering duct openings that receive return air from a room. The modular air vent assembly kit is comprised of a frame, a base (14), a damper mechanism (16), and two different face plates where the damper mechanism can be selectively assembled into the base (14) depending on whether control through the air vent by operation of a damper is needed in the particular duct opening and where either of the two face plates may be selectively connected with the base where one face plate has a lattice and is used in combination with the damping mechanism (16) and the other face plate has a series of louvers and is used when the damping mechanism is not used in the vent assembly. The frame is secured to an air duct opening and the base (14) and attached face plate are removably attachable to the frame without the need for separate fasteners.
La présente invention concerne un kit d'assemblage pour bouche d'aération modulaire pouvant être utilisé pour recouvrir des ouvertures de conduits qui envoient un flux d'air chaud ou froid dans une pièce et qui recouvrent également les ouvertures de conduits qui reçoivent l'air de reprise provenant d'une pièce. Le kit d'assemblage pour bouche d'aération modulaire est constitué d'un cadre, d'une base (14) et d'un mécanisme (16) de registre et de deux plaques de recouvrement différentes permettant d'assembler sélectivement le mécanisme de registre dans la base (14) en fonction des besoins c'est-à-dire lorsque la bouche d'aération doit être commandée par l'entremise d'un registre dans l'ouverture de conduit particulière, et lorsque l'une ou l'autre des deux plaques de recouvrement peut être sélectivement connectée à la base, une des plaques de recouvrement comportant une grille et étant utilisée en combinaison avec le mécanisme (16) de registre alors que l'autre plaque de recouvrement comporte une série de fentes et est utilisée lorsque le mécanisme de registre n'est pas utilisé dans l'ensemble d'aération. Le cadre est fixé sur une ouverture de conduit d'air, et la base (14) et la plaque de recouvrement attachée peuvent être fixées de manière amovible sur le cadre sans l'aide de fixations séparées.
