TITLE OF THE INVENTION Modular Building System ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Building system and method of building which uses lengthwise stackable plank-like components each of which has a plurality of parallel wholly extending transverse holes passing therethrough which can be aligned with lengthwise stacked components within a structure. A connection member can be received in any such conduit of aligned holes which has a necessary slot alignment to receive the shank of such a connection member which preferably has expanded end regions. Ideally the component and combination of the invention are such that modular spacing of the aligned holes and preferably their relationship with side and end faces of each component lends itself readily to an easily erected method of construction with those holes not being used for jointed purposes being available for receiving ties, shear resisting members, electrical or plumbing utilities and the like.
