An adjustable chimney cleaning apparatus adapted for permanent installation in a flue of a wood-burning stove is provided having a first pair and at least one other pair of vertically extending, spaced apart, flexible scraper segment elements. Each of the scraper elements is for extending close to an internal wall of the flue. Transverse joining members are provided for each of the pairs of elements and first attachment members are provided for attaching each of the pairs of the scraper segment elements to each other adjacent pairs of the same. The apparatus also has a central vertically extending shaft rotatably secured in a lower area of the flue, and a shaft support assembly for supporting the shaft with respect to the flue. The apparatus further has second attachment members for attaching lower portions of the first pair of scraper elements to the shaft, and a mechanism for rotating the shaft. Whereby, in operation, by attaching each of the pairs of scraper segment elements to each other adjacent pairs of the same by means of the first attachment members, a user can adapt the apparatus to the length of the flue.
La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif réglable destiné à être installé en permanence à l'intérieur d'un conduit de fumée de poêle à bois et servant aux fins de ramonage; le dispositif en question comporte une première paire et au moins une deuxième paire d'éléments verticaux flexibles destinés à gratter la surface interne du conduit de fumée. Chacun des éléments verticaux est maintenu à faible distance de la surface interne du conduit de fumée. Des éléments transversaux sont utilisés pour joindre entre eux les éléments verticaux de chaque paire d'éléments verticaux et un premier type d'éléments d'assemblage permettent de relier les paires d'éléments verticaux bout à bout. Le dispositif en question comporte en outre un arbre de commande vertical monté sur une plaque-support située au centre et dans la partie inférieure du conduit de fumée. Le dispositif comporte en outre un deuxième jeu d'éléments d'assemblage pour relier les extrémités inférieures des éléments verticaux à l'arbre de commande, ainsi qu'un mécanisme servant à faire tourner l'arbre. L'assemblage bout à bout des paires d'éléments verticaux à l'aide des éléments d'assemblage prévus à cette fin permet à l'utilisateur d'adapter le dispositif de ramonage en fonction de la longueur du conduit de fumée.
